Mary L. “Ticia” Berg is ATA’s Chief Financial Officer. In this role she is responsible for directing and implementing the fiscal functions of the corporation in accordance with GAAP and other legal and regulatory requirements. Functional responsibilities include financial planning, day to day financial operations, human resources and contracting support. Additionally, Ticia serves as the Facilities Security Officer where she is responsible for implementing all Corporate Security direction, policy and procedures across the company, assuring compliance and annual security reviews, managing personnel clearances and physical security. Ticia also manages all of the company’s human resources functions, such as benefits and payroll.

Ticia has over 22 years of experience in business operations, engineering and finance on small and large-scale development and operational programs. Ticia started her professional career at Lockheed Martin in Herndon, Virginia where she was employed as a Systems Engineer on an advanced technology Intelligence Community Program of Record. While working full time, she received her Master of Science in Systems Engineering with a focus in Business Management from Virginia Tech. She transferred to BAE Systems in California to work on global national security objectives. She then worked in Florida at KPMG and BearingPoint as a systems engineer on a variety of worldwide enterprise IT projects from DISA Financial Management System to the initial launch of the Navy Marine Corps Intranet program at NAS Jacksonville. Thereafter, Ticia was employed as a program engineer for DARPA in Virginia working on innovative advanced technologies with national security applications. Ticia co-founded ATA, LLC in 2008.

Ticia graduated from Sweet Briar College with dual degrees in Economics and Computer Science with a Business Management certificate. She is a master of nearly everything she touches, from engineering to finance to operations. Ticia is universally loved and respected within ATA and with all of our mission partners.
